Welcome to NTU Events and Conferencing

As a delegate attending an event, this section of the website has been created to provide you with key pieces of information you’ll need to start planning your visit.

Your event will take place in one of our Nottingham Trent University campuses; Nottingham City Campus, Clifton Campus, Brackenhurst Campus, Mansfield University Centre or Confetti. If you are unsure of which campus your event is being held at, contact your event organiser or call our team on +44 (0)115 848 8000.

Need to book accommodation?

If you require accommodation whilst visiting Nottingham for your event, many of the UK’s well-known hotel chains are within easy reach of Nottingham City and Clifton Campuses.

We can also recommend hotels close to Brackenhurst Campus and rural retreats if you prefer to stay outside the city centre. We have preferred rates with local hotels in and around the city and for large residential events coming to Nottingham, we can put you in touch with Meet in Nottingham to manage your accommodation needs.

During summer vacation, most of our venues have modern, en-suite student accommodation with plenty of communal areas and a choice of on campus or city centre locations.

What can I do in Nottingham?

As one of the East Midlands largest and most versatile cities, Nottingham offers a wide range of culture and activities providing plenty of options for you to relax and unwind during your event. Getting around Nottingham is easy with a comprehensive tram and bus network and once in the centre, you can explore the city with ease. Nottingham is also one of the few cities to be accredited with a Purple Flag for its variety, safety and cleanliness.

For more information on restaurants and other local attractions, visit Visit Nottinghamshire’s website.

The East Midlands’ entertainment capital

Nottingham provides an eclectic mix of entertainment options including continental-style piazza venues with al fresco dining, theatres and comedy clubs. The city boasts the oldest pub in England, ‘Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem’ and the UK’s only pub with a canal running through it, The Canalhouse. Plus, with over 300 restaurants offering a mix of international cuisines to suit all tastes and budgets, your guests won’t be short of places to wine and dine.

Numerous sporting venues

The city has a long history of producing and developing sporting icons and there is plenty of sport to do and see. From iconic venues like the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and the Nottingham Forest ground to Holme Pierrepont National Water Sports Centre and the National Ice Centre, there is no shortage of great places to visit during a stay in Nottingham.

Culture and diversity

Nottingham has always been a city of many cultures and faiths, with a population from all over the world. The city was home to the legendary Robin Hood, famous writer D H Lawrence, football manager Brian Clough and world-renowned fashion designer Paul Smith. In any one day, visitors can enjoy live theatre plays, musicals, operas and dance performances, as well as some amazing site seeing like Nottingham Castle, the National Justice Museum or a pleasant walk around Sherwood Forest.
