Intimate dinners to grand gatherings
Across our venues, we have unique spaces giving you the ideal space for your event. Nottingham City Campus has beautifully restored Grade II* listed buildings with a selection of function rooms available to hire. The Old Chemistry Theatre, in a building of its own due to the nature of the chemical experiments it witnessed in the past, is situated in its own courtyard. Isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city beyond its walls, it lends itself well to evening dinners and summer parties.
We also have the intimate Courtroom, housed in a building that was once Nottingham’s main registry office, offering a favoured space for smaller, intimate dinners. In addition, Central Court is an open atrium space for our largest dinners, where you can theme your event and captivate your guests. All our event space can accommodate event staging, dancefloors, private bars and live music.
Retreat to the country
Within the picturesque town of Southwell, you’ll find our Brackenhurst Campus. Its historic Main Hall stands amidst beautiful countryside scenery, providing an ideal backdrop to your event. You may choose to enjoy drinks in the Orangery or outside in the gardens. You can take dinner in the Main Hall’s oak-panelled, period dining room or opt for a marquee on the lawns. Whichever you choose, your guests will enjoy your event amidst this unique setting, with the most extraordinary views.
Out of town events
Our Clifton Science and Technology Campus, situated just 10 minutes from the City Centre, is a great out of town option for guests coming from all areas of the UK. The modern Refectory offers dining space for up to 250 within the Heart of the Campus development, and and outdoor plaza for those summer evening drinks receptions. In addition the Pavilion can host a drinks reception for up to 1000 and offers a bright, open space for your guests to network and dance.
NTU Events and Conferencing takes pride in the dedicated catering team; from our chefs through to our service team, you and your guests will experience an exceptional level of customer service. Our chefs create menus, utilising the abundance of seasonal produce and will work with you if you have a particular menu in mind for your guests. You can choose to make your event as formal or as informal as you wish, choosing canapés, fork buffets, street food, BBQs or a formal sit-down menu. All dishes are prepared using fresh, high quality and locally sourced ingredients where possible and our commitment to environmental responsibility extends to our suppliers, whom we work closely with to source local, Fairtrade sustainable resources.
